FAMILY & MATRIMONIAL
In a country of diverse legal systems where more than 80 per cent of its population originates from around the world, conscious advice on family matters is absolutely essential for expatriates relocating to the UAE.
Drawing on our experience of over two decades, we have developed a wide breadth and depth of expertise dealing with diverse family issues. We advise on divorce and separation, financial settlements, child custody, domestic violence and abuse, prenuptial agreements, and business structuring.
We understand that effective way of acknowledging the totality of each client’s unique experience is to genuinely listen to his/her experience, so we are able to offer a clear strategy to achieve the best outcome for you and your family.
We understand that hiring a lawyer may not be financially feasible for everyone, and in order to provide cost-effective solutions to your legal issue, we separate legal proceedings requiring our assistance from those you can do yourself. This helps to keep costs down while still giving you access to our expertise and counsel.
DIFC WILLS & PROBATE
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts Wills (‘DIFC Courts Wills’)is joint initiative of the Government of Dubai and the DIFC Courts that gives non-Muslim expatriates investing and living in the UAE the option, after death, to pass on their UAE assets and worldwide assets in accordance with the instructions in their Will. It also allows testators to implement guardianship provisions in respect to any minor children (under the age of 21) who are habitually resident in the Emirates of Dubai and/or Ras Al Khaimah.
We advise on the UAE Personal Status Law and help you prepare and register a Will that is specifically designed, professionally drafted, anticipates different scenarios and circumstances, and addresses all key issues pertaining to your personal assets as well as your real estate and business ownership.
We are registered Wills Draftsmen with the DIFC Courts Wills.
