Personal Status and Inheritance Court for Non-Muslims in Abu Dhabi

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has issued a resolution deciding the set up of a Personal Status and Inheritance Court for non-Muslims in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has issued a resolution deciding the set up of a Personal Status and Inheritance Court for non-Muslims in Abu Dhabi. The aim is to ensure prompt justice and strengthen the culture of tolerance.

Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, has commanded this decision and said that the establishment of this court enhances a culture of tolerance and respect for differences and reflects the harmony between social, educational, and judicial institutions to consolidate tolerance and justice among all members of the society. She added that the establishment of such courts for non-Muslims reflects the UAE as the country of goodwill, peace, tolerance and harmony, and enhances channels of communication and dialogue as well as acceptance of others intellectually, culturally and religiously.

This new resolution follows the strategic goals of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the judicial procedures and ensure access to services for all residents of the UAE.
