Individuals & Businesses Fines for Illegal Use of Dubai Brand Logo

24/3/2016

Businesses and individuals who use the Dubai brand logo without official authorisation will be penalised.

Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has said that businesses and individuals who use the Dubai brand logo without official authorisation will be penalised.

Any business or individuals wishing to use the Dubai brand logo across any activity must first get approval from Dubai Tourism (Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing). The prior approval is mandatory – and will need to be sought through the application of a consent form to ensure its proper and authorised use, Dubai Tourism and the DED said in a statement.

DED said that it will perform regular checks across the emirate’s stores as part of the Consumer Rights Campaign to check for any violations of the brand’s usage.
