Federal Tax Authority Update on Tax Law Violation Penalties

Avoid late fee charges, check your VAT dashboard for information.

The Federal Tax Authority recently issued and update on Administrative Penalties for Violation of tax Laws in the UAE in accordance with Cabinet Decision No 49 of 2021.

Please be sure to check your VAT dashboard for information on your current balance to avoid any outstanding late fee charges.

Please note that any outstanding charges. “Tax Payable may be subject to the 4% monthly administrative penalty from 28 June 2021 (instead of the 1% daily administrative penalty). Hence, please review your ‘My Payments’ page and ensure the tax is paid before 28 June 2021 in order not to incur new administrative penalties as explained in TAXP001.”
